Urban-Self Portrait Documentary

I explored Tsuen Wan in this project and the reason why I chose this place is very obvious, I live in Tsuen Wan. In the urban self portrait, I focused on one selected space in Tsuen Wan, the Discovery Park, a shopping mall, which is personally important to me.

The above video is an urban self portrait that includes a montage of some personal photos related to Discovery Park, video clips showing the present Discovery Park, a news video from Now TV and an interview with a Tsuen Wan resident (she moved btw). By comparing the present and the history of Discovery Park, I can understand Tsuen Wan and myself more.

I know Tsuen Wan is not a "famous" district of HK. For most of the people in HK, the only thing they can think of Tsuen Wan is that it gives rise to the full name of the red MTR line, which runs from the district into Central. However, to me Tsuen Wan is a special place and I just love it so much.
